The opt-out period was August 15th to September 26th, 2025, at 4 PM. It is now the late opt-out period for insurance.
If you have comparable coverage for extended health, dental, and/or international medical coverage and you wish to opt out, please send your proof of insurance along with your name and student ID number to admin@upeisu.ca.
Note: Late opt-outs are subject to a $40 administrative late fee (this will be deducted from your refunded amount).
The final deadline to opt out of insurance is October 31st at 4PM; there will be no health & dental opt outs accepted after this date.
Note: You are required to opt out each academic year that you are a full time student at UPEI, and opt outs are to be completed in the fall term.
Note: PEI Health cards are sufficient to opt out of the international medical coverage only, not extended health & dental coverage(s).
