UPEI Student Union President Samantha MacLean Announces Resignation

The UPEI Student Union is sad to report that Samantha MacLean has announced her resignation from the position of 2021-2022 President and CEO of the UPEI Student Union at the council meeting on Sunday, October 17, 2021.  A copy of her official resignation letter can be found below.

The UPEI Student Union would like to thank Ms. MacLean for her contributions to the organization and the overall UPEI community during her time in office.  We wish her all the best with her studies at UPEI and on any future endeavours.

MacLean will remain in office until October 29, 2021.  The UPEI Student Union will host a by-election to determine the succeeding 2021-2022 Student Union President.  In accordance with UPEISU bylaws, Vice President Academic and External, Anagha Muralidharan, has been appointed Acting President and will assume the duties of the President until the succeeding President is elected.  Council approved the election dates at the October 17th council meeting.  The dates for the by-election are as follows:

Nominations Period: November 1st to November 12th

Campaigning Period: November 13th to November 22nd

Voting Period: November 23rd and November 24th
