UPEISU Launches The Winter Clothing Drive

UPEISU Launches The Winter Clothing Drive

The UPEI Student Union is excited to announce the launch of its Winter Clothing Drive for the second consecutive year, but this time, on a bigger scale. This initiative aims to provide warmth to as many students as possible, focusing on students facing financial constraints in buying winter essentials.

The Winter Clothing Drive encourages students to contribute gently used or new winter clothing items like jackets, scarves, hats and gloves. In return for their generosity, donors will be entered into a ballot, allowing them to win prizes, including gift cards and mystery gifts. This incentive not only encourages participation but also adds an element of excitement to the act of giving. The winners will be selected through a random draw. The results will be announced on our social media channels.

All collected winter clothing items will be distributed to students in need, ensuring everyone has access to the warmth they deserve during the colder months. The UPEISU is grateful for the increased number of donations this year, us to assist even more students.

The UPEISU encourages students to participate in the Winter Clothing Drive and positively impact the lives of fellow students. Donations can be dropped off at the UPEISU office, located on the second level of the W.A Murphy Student Centre, right across from Tim Hortons. We are accepting donations until the 7th of December, 2023.
