Boat Builders Wanted
PEI’s boat-building industry is thriving, with permanent, full-time positions available across the Island. There’s an urgent need to hire 15 entry-level technicians to meet the demand. Another 15 positions will open during the next four years.
Central Development Corporation, through Skills PEI with funding by the Department of Workforce and Advanced Learning, is presenting a free 13 week fibreglass boat-building program to provide technical skills and on-the-job training, and connect the 15 participants with Island employers. The deadline for applications is April 24th, and the program begins May 2nd.
