The Interdisciplinary Panther Series 2025-2026

The UPEI Student Union is excited to introduce The Interdisciplinary Panther Series, in collaboration with Experiential Education, the Catherine Callbeck Centre for Entrepreneurship, and Student Culture and Community Standards.

These interdisciplinary case competitions are designed to expand Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities for UPEI students across all faculties and year levels. These events provide meaningful, practical experiences that help participants build skills, gain industry connections, and prepare for the region’s evolving workforce needs.

We will be selecting a total of 27 participants, who will be placed into 9 interdisciplinary teams of three. Teams will be assigned accordingly to ensure a balanced skill level, diversity of experiences and perspectives

Case Competition 1 Overview- November 7th, 2025

The first competition in this series focused on Sexual Violence Prevention in Work-Integrated Learning settings, challenging students to develop innovative and actionable solutions that promote education, prevention, and community support. This case and event were sponsored by the Government of Prince Edward Island’s Interministerial Women’s Secretariat with financial support from the Government of Canada Department for Women and Gender Equality in support of the National Action Plan to End Gender Based Violence. This case gave students opportunities to network with professionals in government, sexual violence prevention, post-secondary education, and experiential education.
